A Syncron Case Study
Al Masaood Automobiles (AMA), a long-established distributor of Nissan, Infiniti and Renault in the UAE, needed to modernize its service-parts planning to lower stock costs, reduce cycle times and boost parts sales across a large, multi-site service network. Facing heavy manual intervention, weak forecasting and limited multi-site planning, AMA selected Syncron and its Syncron Inventory™ service-parts management solution to automate replenishment, forecasting and exception-based management.
By implementing Syncron Inventory™, AMA reduced manual order-review intervention to 20–30% and achieved measurable operational gains: parts turns rose from 1.89 to 2.50, months of supply fell from 7.13 to 4.84, stock order cycle declined from 61 to 46 days, and suggested order review time dropped from four days to two. Syncron’s solution also cut national inventory by 15% (branch inventory by 20%), reduced emergency ordering by 6.5%, lowered storage needs by ~35%, and improved first-pick availability from 93% to 96%, all while maintaining the original staffing level.
