PepsiCo Northern Europe sought to accelerate its digital transformation by using AI-enabled analytics to deepen collaboration with key retailers and better leverage primary shopper data. The company aimed to make sophisticated use of SymphonyAI’s CPG solutions—including Customer 360 Segmentation, Sales and Customer Insights and SymphonyAI Retail CPG/Customer Centric Retailing—to create more shopper-informed assortments and drive category growth across multiple retailer partners.
PepsiCo combined SymphonyAI technology and dedicated SymphonyAI success coaches with its category expertise to run shopper-led store clustering, assortment optimization and tailored planograms. Using datasets indexing up to 1,000 store characteristics, the team executed a Salty Snacks reset in 2022 and rolled shopper-led clustering and optimized assortments into more than 1,000 stores, increasing category space, shifting mix toward healthier and smaller-pack options and delivering measurable uplift in category performance—driven by SymphonyAI-enabled insights.
