One Automobile Manufacturing Plant faced the challenge of avoiding costly equipment failures and production downtime in newly purchased assembly-line machinery. To address this, the plant turned to SymphonyAI Industrial’s predictive maintenance (PdM) software, including its ExpertALERT system, to evaluate machine condition before accepting equipment and to move away from reactive or calendar-based maintenance.

Using SymphonyAI Industrial’s vibration and IR analysis tools, the plant inspected more than 600 pieces of equipment and identified issues such as bad bearings, alignment problems, and incorrect shims. At least 106 machines required adjustments or new parts, and the plant estimated it avoided between $31,000 and $112,000 in repair costs, while also reducing the risk of even greater production losses.
