A SymphonyAI Case Study
The Save Mart Companies, a California-based regional grocery chain operating 194 stores, wanted to better align its categories, promotions, and assortments with shopper needs while deepening collaboration with suppliers. To support this customer-first transformation, the company partnered with SymphonyAI and its connected retail solutions, including the Category Management Suite with Assortment-as-a-Service, CINDE Insights, and Promotion Evaluation.
SymphonyAI implemented an AI-driven approach that syndicated data with vendors, improved promotion optimization, and enabled store- and category-level assortment decisions based on shopper behavior. The program expanded from 25 to about 45 vendor partners, generated an average of approximately $500,000 in incremental sales from promotion evaluation, and nearly $1 million in incremental sales per completed Category Action Project with vendor partners, with estimated annual sales impact reaching into the tens of millions.
