The fashion retailer Fossil Germany faced a challenge in optimizing merchandise flow and increasing capacity for its multi-channel sales operations. To equip its logistics for retail, wholesale, and online sales, Fossil partnered with vendor Swisslog Holding to implement its SmartCarrier shuttle technology.

Swisslog implemented a high-efficiency SmartCarrier solution, which included a 6-aisle automated case warehouse and a 2.2km conveyor system. This solution provided Fossil with a highly responsive and intelligent warehousing system. The results were dramatic, with the automated system processing 40,000 order lines per day, outputting up to 13,000 packages daily, and achieving a virtually zero picking error rate.
