Finnair, the Finnish national carrier and its Technical Operations unit, was running an almost 30-year-old mainframe MRO/ERP system that was becoming expensive and hard to maintain. To modernize maintenance, logistics and engineering workflows, Finnair selected Swiss AviationSoftware and its AMOS MRO system for its integrated architecture, usability and strong customer track record.

Swiss AviationSoftware implemented AMOS using standard processes with a disciplined data migration approach (multiple full uploads), delivered a smooth weekend cut‑over and provided ongoing AOS support. The deployment was completed on time and on budget, enabled integrations with e‑TechLog, Spec2000 and SAP, was adopted by some 600 users as an AMOS benchmark customer, and delivered measurable savings—reducing legacy hosting and licence costs by about 75%.
