UPS Battery Center, founded by Anton Khramov in 2008, sells over 12,000 sealed lead‑acid batteries for backup power, alarms, and emergency lighting. After migrating platforms the site’s native search failed to return relevant products, causing long browse times, frequent support calls, emails and chats, and bookmarked product pages that agents had to share manually.

Anton implemented Swiftype’s hosted ecommerce search, which installed in minutes and required no in‑house fixes. Daily support calls fell by a factor of ten, and in the first three months orders rose 140%, revenue grew 125%, and conversion rates improved 116%; Swiftype’s analytics also let Anton tune inventory and search results to prevent dead ends.
