Azusa Pacific University (APU), a private university near Los Angeles serving nearly 10,000 students, needed to replace the Google Search Appliance after Google phased it out. The web team required a site search that could be seamlessly integrated, allow manual promotion and precise control of rankings, and enable multiple non-developer team members to adjust results.

APU implemented Swiftype in about two weeks, adding custom meta tags, fallback pages, and weighted rankings.
