How SurveyMonkey helps one nonprofit connect families with affordable child care

The Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida (ELCNWF) is a nonprofit serving seven counties that helps low-income families access subsidized child care—supporting about 3,500 families and more than 8,000 children with a 32-person staff. The organization must collect and act on large amounts of information (from provider feedback to grant applications and disaster response) while working across rural, relationship-based communities, creating a need for an easy, collaborative way to gather and present data quickly—especially during emergencies like Hurricane Michael.

ELCNWF adopted a SurveyMonkey team plan to build surveys, community assessments, grant applications, staff engagement polls, and emergency intake forms, using Analyze tools and collaboration features to visualize results and share them across counties. The solution increased response rates versus paper surveys, sped decision-making and reporting without dedicated data staff, streamlined workflows, and enabled rapid disaster relief—resulting in more than 50 child care providers receiving emergency recovery funding within two weeks of the hurricane.
