Dell, a Fortune 500 technology manufacturer, needed to drive higher online customer acquisition while improving return on ad spend (ROAS) across brands. To meet that goal, Dell partnered with SundaySky to build a data-driven customer experience that delivers individualized video messaging at key moments to shoppers who visited dell.com but did not purchase.
Dell began with consumer laptop and small-business lines, serving personalized videos that recommended products based on site behavior, specs, ratings, price and offers, using a modular scene library that made it easy to create variants. The program scaled to Alienware, additional markets and a Member Purchase Program; results exceeded benchmarks—consumer ROAS 3x, small business 2.5x, Alienware 2.5x and the Member Purchase Program 12x—while improving engagement and delivering cost-effective, scalable ad spend.
