Marini SpA, a world leader in the design and manufacture of hot‑mix asphalt plants, faced long, complex sales cycles and ongoing post‑sale relationships that were not being managed consistently. The company needed a flexible, cost‑effective CRM to help sales staff identify opportunities, track activities and forecast customer needs across international operations, so after evaluating several vendors it selected SugarCRM for ease of use and compatibility with existing systems.

Working with Sugar partner OpenSymbol, Marini piloted Sugar Community Edition in China and quickly rolled out Sugar Professional across Europe, hosting the solution on Amazon Cloud and integrating it with Basecamp. The easy‑to‑use platform created a central client database, improved forecasting and sales focus, streamlined processes, reduced reliance on consultants and delivered measurable sales and customer‑relationship improvements, with plans to expand Sugar’s use further.
