Hillel, the world’s largest organization focused on university-age Jews, needed a better way to track and measure student engagement across campuses. Its original REACH tool on Microsoft SharePoint suffered from low adoption, inconsistent data and could not support Hillel’s relationship-based engagement model, so leadership sought a flexible, mobile- and social-ready CRM to capture real-time interactions and growth.
Hillel implemented Sugar Professional with Atcore Systems, adding 36 custom modules, embedded analytics and a Jewish Journeys module, plus Facebook and mobile integration to boost adoption. The phased rollout was completed on time and on budget in under six months, scaled to hundreds of campuses and users, and helped Hillel grow REACH usage from thousands to tracking over 88,000 students (a 1,000%+ increase); the Jewish Journeys module alone followed 2,215 students across 66 campuses.
