3Dconnexion, a global leader in 3D navigation devices with more than one million 3D mice sold across 30 countries, faced a fragmented IT landscape—Salesforce.com, country-specific CRMs, Outlook and other point solutions—that strained IT resources, produced inconsistent customer data, and made it difficult to manage sales, marketing and partner channels for roughly 400 resellers. The company needed a single, web-based CRM that could centralize customer data, map core processes, support partner access and integrate with e-commerce and content systems.
Working with implementation partner Insignio, 3Dconnexion deployed Sugar Professional, consolidating seven systems into one and integrating more than 10 applications (including PayPal, Google Maps, e-commerce and email marketing). The unified platform delivered a 360° view of the business, faster sales cycles, lower support costs and better forecasting—and, thanks to the Evalanche email integration, led to a 700% increase in leads over three years and 4,000 new Facebook followers from a single product campaign.
