Increasing Time To Focus on Impact—Not Wrangling Buggy Software

United Way of Chatham-Kent, a Canadian branch of United Way focused on poverty alleviation and community programs, was hampered by an unintuitive, timeout-prone grant platform that required extensive training for applicants, reviewers, volunteers, and staff. They switched to Submittable’s grant management platform to streamline application intake and review and reduce technical roadblocks.

Submittable delivered an intuitive, auto-saving application experience with integrated review forms and responsive live support, making it easy for applicants and reviewers to work from tablets or phones and cutting onboarding needs. As a result, United Way of Chatham-Kent saved at least 100 hours of training time, received overwhelmingly positive feedback on the process, and was able to focus more resources on its $2M in annual community grants.
