Klarna wanted to make payments more flexible for shoppers while expanding its reach across merchants and markets. To do that at scale, Klarna partnered with Stripe, using Stripe’s global payment processing and payment-method distribution capabilities to make Klarna easier for businesses to offer at checkout.
Stripe upgraded the integration so businesses on Stripe can add Klarna instantly in 25 countries, with access to features like Express checkout and on-site messaging. The partnership helped double the number of new businesses offering Klarna in Q4 2024 versus average quarterly adoption, and more than 200,000 businesses now use Klarna on Stripe. Customers also saw measurable gains, including a 16% lift in average order value for INDOCHINO, a 67% increase for OrderMyGear, and tripled average order volumes for auto shops on Tekmetric.
