A Stibo Systems Case Study
Marks & Spencer (M&S), a major British retailer with over seven million registered website users and some 20,000 online products across dozens of international territories, needed to migrate from an Amazon-based platform without losing users or sales. The upgrade also had to support multichannel customers and store staff on tablets and smartphones while addressing poor data quality, duplicate entry and the complexity of selling in multiple countries and languages.
M&S implemented Stibo Systems’ Product MDM (PIM), going live a year before the site launch to add structured attributes, workflows and business rules, run dual systems during migration, and automate translation flows for international sites. The result was a single source of product data, fewer input errors, dramatically reduced time-to-market, the ability to tailor assortments by country and a rapid international rollout (eight sites in five languages) with translated content appearing within 24–48 hours of UK publication.
