Ingalls Health System - Customer Case Study

Ingalls Health System, a Chicago-based multi-site health system, needed to grow new patient volume, reduce patient leakage and improve post-ED follow-up while operating with limited marketing resources. To meet these goals, Ingalls partnered with Stericycle and deployed Stericycle Communication Solutions’ cloud-based online self-scheduling platform, InQuicker (including its Hospital Discharge Scheduling service), across EDs, urgent care, labs, primary care and occupational medicine.

Stericycle implemented InQuicker with staff training, mobile/desktop access and real-time analytics, enabling patients to self-schedule and book follow-up appointments prior to discharge. As a result, Ingalls has booked 12,370 InQuicker patients since 2011, nearly doubled its monthly average annual patient revenue opportunity to $1,377,980, reduced call-center volume and no-shows, improved staff and physician efficiency and satisfaction, and curtailed patient leakage by coordinating timely follow-up care.
