Swisscom, a leading Swiss ICT provider with about 20,000 employees, wanted to create a modern, open‑book Work Smart culture that breaks down silos and gives staff instant access to tacit knowledge so they can work autonomously. To meet this challenge the company deployed Starmind’s knowledge platform (internally called “Ask the Brain”) to connect employees with experts and surface critical information across the organization.
Starmind’s solution—integrated with SharePoint, Teams, bots and internal comms—delivered over 38,000 answers and 5 million question views since 2013 and drove measured productivity savings of more than CHF 3 million per year (2019). The platform sped onboarding, supported a smooth Office 365 migration with no significant support tickets, enabled more efficient product launches (inOne), and helped embed a flexible, collaborative open‑book culture across Swisscom.
