Union Real Estate, a Pittsburgh-based full-service property management and investment firm overseeing more than 60 commercial and residential properties, faced entirely manual leasing and accounting processes when Michele DeMarco joined as VP of Accounting and Finance. SS&C Technologies’ SKYLINE automated Union’s accounting and billing workflows, consolidated roughly 300 bespoke reports into 12–15 flexible escalation worksheets, and now handles CAM, tax and insurance billing, year‑end tax reports, journal entries and monthly investor distributions for each property. The SS&C Technologies solution streamlined complex accounting across 60+ properties, simplified allocations and escalations, and saved the finance team a substantial amount of time while providing a scalable roadmap for future expansion.
