Large Insurance Company faced a highly manual, error-prone mailroom and indexing process that required teams of indexers to sort, identify and extract data from thousands of incoming pages per hour. SS&C Technologies was engaged to deploy Vidado’s auto-indexing solution (Vidado VISION and READ) to enable straight-through indexing, eliminate manual page reordering and separator sheets, and create a scalable, flexible digital mailroom.

SS&C Technologies used Vidado VISION to identify, deskew and reorder pages and Vidado READ to extract handwritten and printed index data, integrating via shared AWS S3 for secure file transfer. The solution sorted 98% of indexed pages correctly and achieved 96% data extraction accuracy (exceeding the 90% targets), delivered turnaround times well under the 1‑hour SLA, and enabled a continuous 24x7x365 digital mailroom, with plans to expand to additional mailrooms.
