Ada County, Idaho’s human resources department — covering 2,530 employees with about 2,000 enrolled in benefits — consolidated benefits enrollment into Oracle HCM Cloud but encountered failed carrier EDI feeds after an implementation by an offshore partner. The broken feeds left HR doing manual workarounds, causing delays and customer complaints, so Ada County turned to SS&C Technologies and its SS&C BenefiX® solution to resolve the integration issues.

SS&C Technologies deployed SS&C BenefiX®, a cloud-based carrier EDI platform with HIPAA and carrier-specific format support, real-time dashboards, and the ability to handle Ada County’s complex eligibility formulas and timing. SS&C troubleshot with carriers and worked with in-house IT, cutting the programming team’s troubleshooting time by about 50%, enabling the benefits team to manage integrations without IT support, and eliminating extra fees when switching carriers.
