DDJ Capital Management, an investment adviser outside Boston with over $7 billion in assets under management, faced rapid asset and client growth that strained its middle- and back-office operations. To automate processes, relieve back-office and IT staff from nightly batch jobs, and improve disaster recovery, DDJ implemented SS&C Technologies’ PORTIA SaaS Platform.

SS&C Technologies hosted DDJ’s nightly workflows, batch processing, system monitoring and disaster recovery through PORTIA, enabling Straight-Through Processing (STP) and remote server access for faster recovery. As a result, DDJ outsourced creation and oversight of workflows to SS&C Technologies, reduced the number of vendors to manage, gained scalability and agility, and freed internal resources to focus on strategic projects that drive the business.
