AWD Improves an Asset Manager’s Operational Efficiency

IFDS, a leading provider of outsourced technology and servicing solutions to the European financial services industry, faced the challenge of supporting asset managers’ cross-border distribution while meeting AML/KYC and regulatory requirements. To attract new business it needed a scalable, auditable, multi‑location operating model with improved automation, straight‑through processing and better resource and workload planning. IFDS selected SS&C Technologies’ AWD and AWD Contact to address these needs.

SS&C Technologies implemented its AWD BPM/case‑management platform and AWD Contact CRM, integrated with IFDS’s recordkeeping systems to provide real‑time document access, inbound capture, outbound communications and a unified client front end. The solution—now used by c.3,500 live users and licensed across 10 locations—enabled a location‑agnostic operating model, offshore processing for continuous work across time zones, faster staff training, improved productivity and efficiencies, and immediate reporting with a robust audit trail to meet regulatory and SLA requirements.
