Ativo moves to Advent Outsourcing Services with APX in the cloud

Ativo Capital Management, a Chicago-based institutional asset manager with about $2 billion AUM and more than 80% of assets invested internationally, was outgrowing its prior portfolio system and needed stronger multi-currency accounting, GIPS-compliant performance measurement, and highly customizable reporting while keeping a small IT footprint. To meet those needs, Ativo turned to SS&C Technologies and its Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX) solution, delivered in the cloud via Advent Outsourcing Services.

SS&C Technologies implemented APX and provided outsourced daily reconciliation and data management through a dedicated Advent team, which posts the majority of transactions before the trading day and leaves only a small number of exceptions for Ativo to review. The result: seamless international accounting, faster, customizable reports for institutional clients, verified composite tracking for GIPS compliance, reduced in‑house maintenance (no servers or upgrades), and a leaner operations team able to focus on higher‑value work.
