The Women's Institutes, a national organisation of around 6,600 local WIs and roughly 212,000 members, needed a modern, responsive website that would support on-the-go recruitment and allow each WI to update meeting information, events and local campaigns. Their existing site was unresponsive and hard to use from tablets and mobiles, so the Women's Institutes engaged Squiz to redesign the UX and deliver a mobile-friendly, organisation-wide content platform that could support thousands of potential editors.

Squiz implemented a nimble, responsive website with extensive wireframing workshops, QA testing, and streamlined implementation methods, and trained 65 federations with videos and step-by-step support to ensure adoption. The new site increased engagement and modernised the WI brand — in the first month Squiz’s solution drove a 22% rise in traffic, a 23% rise in new users and a 20% rise in mobile/tablet users.
