The University of Hertfordshire faced a fragile, internally hosted website running on two dated CMS platforms with a bespoke publishing layer, which became unsustainable as site usage grew. Squiz was engaged to address the instability by redesigning the site and consolidating the CMS infrastructure, with the aim of moving to a robust cloud-based hosting environment.

Squiz delivered a full design-led rebrand—refreshing navigation, branding and colour palette—and consolidated the legacy CMS platforms into a single, maintainable solution that set the look and feel for other university digital channels. The result was a more robust, cloud-hosted platform with streamlined content publishing, deeper brand integration across channels and a site able to reliably support increased traffic and future growth.
