Solving Search and Accessibility With Funnelback

National Park College, a community college serving over 7,500 students near Little Rock, Arkansas, faced poor discoverability, search and SEO performance plus lingering WCAG accessibility issues that hindered students and marketing efforts. Working with Squiz, NPC implemented the Funnelback search platform to give the web team control over search appearance, ranking and synonyms, gain visibility into visitor searches, and obtain tools to identify content gaps and accessibility errors.

Squiz helped NPC audit and consolidate content, reconfigure search (ranking, synonyms and result appearance), and deploy Funnelback’s out-of-the-box UI, dashboards and reporting to monitor and maintain accessibility and findability with minimal developer support. As a result, NPC achieved a 93.5% decrease in accessibility issues, improved all search results and rankings, shortened user journeys and time-to-answer, passed internal web testing, and strengthened overall web governance.
