New Technology Platform Provider to Power More Than 130 Websites Across the Two States

The Local Government Association of South Australia (LGA SA) is a membership-based body representing local councils across South Australia and Tasmania. Faced with an end-of-life CMS and the need for an extensible, reusable multi-site platform that could integrate with databases and payment systems and support councils of varying sizes, LGA SA selected Squiz to deliver a new technology platform to power more than 130 websites and enable councils to self-serve site deployments.

Squiz ran a discovery and agile delivery program to build the LGA Squiz platform, supplying templates, component libraries, a content builder and automated migration tooling plus training and governance for councils. The result: sites were migrated, configured and themed in about 20 hours each (allowing onboarding of three to four clients per week), improved consistency and reusability across councils, reduced day‑to‑day overhead for council staff, and ongoing platform support and enablement from Squiz.
