E10 OK is a Queensland Government Department of Energy and Water Supply (DEWS) campaign to promote E10 petrol by helping drivers determine whether their vehicles can safely use the fuel. The main challenge was low awareness and uncertainty about compatibility, so DEWS commissioned a mobile-first, web-based compatibility checker that could look up more than 3.5 million vehicles by registration plate, integrate multiple data sources, provide fast results and map nearby E10 stations — a solution built by Squiz (using its Matrix CMS and Funnelback search capabilities).

Squiz implemented a responsive site on Matrix CMS, powered the rapid API-driven lookup with Funnelback, and completed extensive load and infrastructure testing to ensure fast, reliable results. The platform was delivered on time and achieved strong engagement: more than 180,000 checks in the first month (peaking at over 3,000 checks/hour) and a 95% conversion rate toward the campaign’s target actions; Squiz’s work made E10 OK the Queensland Government’s most successful digital-only campaign and attracted interest from other states.
