CQUniversity Australia - Customer Case Study

CQUniversity Australia, a multi-campus university serving more than 30,000 students, faced an outdated, non-mobile student portal with poor UX and sought a single sign-on, website-consistent experience. They engaged Squiz in November 2016, leveraging Squiz Matrix CMS and Funnelback (alongside the wider Squiz suite including Marketo and SugarCRM) to design and build a new mobile-responsive portal called MyCQU.

Squiz delivered MyCQU by combining Squiz Matrix CMS and Funnelback, collaborating with consultants and students on rapid wireframing, testing and deployment, and launching in February 2017 after a three-month build. The portal aggregates institutional, social and personalised feeds into one interface, handles over 100,000 log-ins per week with no issues, earned strong student ratings (new students 3–4/5; existing students 4–5/5), and now moves into a phase two partnership between Squiz and CQUniversity Australia to improve student retention.
