Infinite Peripherals - Customer Case Study

Infinite Peripherals, a leading enterprise-mobility innovator with more than one million deployments, was chosen to help Washington, D.C., transition its 8,000 taxis from antiquated analog meters to a mandated digital meter platform. The city’s legacy systems were cost‑prohibitive and prevented modern features like e‑hailing, instant receipts, and dynamic pricing, so a scalable, compliant solution was needed to bring taxis up to today’s consumer expectations.

Infinite Peripherals’ ezMetr platform, built for iOS and Android and integrated with the Square Reader SDK, provided a cloud-managed digital meter that pairs instantly with in‑car payment hardware, lowers equipment and processing costs, and adds features like digital receipts, pooled rides, live availability, and dynamic discounts. In under six months of full operation the system supported over 20 million miles, 12 million passengers and 7 million trips, improved driver economics and passenger experience, and has prompted other cities to pursue similar modernizations.
