Li’l Dizzy’s Cafe, a third-generation Creole soul food restaurant in New Orleans’ Treme neighborhood, needed to modernize its post-COVID operations while preserving a family legacy that spans decades. The team was looking for a flexible, easy-to-use point-of-sale system that could handle counter service, tableside payments, catering, and sales at festivals and events, and they chose Square.
Square implemented Square Register and Square Terminal, later adding Square Online Store and Square Invoices to support in-house, on-the-go, and remote transactions. With Square, Li’l Dizzy’s Cafe streamlined service, processed invoices from phones, and used reporting tools to compare event performance year over year; the restaurant also benefited from easier operations at major events like Jazz Fest and expanded its use of space and service capacity as customer traffic grew.
