Wahl, a leading manufacturer of grooming products, set out to boost Instagram engagement by leaning into user-generated, community-driven stories around barbershop culture. The challenge was identifying fan content and managing a high volume of interactions from a global audience so the marketing team could curate and respond effectively.
Wahl adopted Sprout Social’s Brand Keywords and Instagram Report to find user posts and measure performance, and relied on Sprout’s Smart Inbox and comment management to coordinate a 10-person global team. Between June 2015 and March 2016 the approach drove a 4,307% increase in engagement, 84,788 new followers and 1,399 comments handled.
