Columbus, Ohio full‑service advertising agency RAVE quickly mobilized when the Columbus Crew faced relocation, joining the grassroots Save The Crew movement with a tight turnaround and limited budget. The challenge was to generate urgent, widespread support to influence the club’s owners using social channels and a largely volunteer team.

RAVE deployed Sprout Social to train volunteers, launched chatbots to handle common questions, and promoted an open letter and a viral video to amplify the campaign. The effort drove rapid results—1.8 million impressions, 102,000 engagements and 18,000 link clicks in the first month, growing to about 3.3 million impressions, 169,000 engagements and 29,000 link clicks—consistently outpacing official MLS playoff hashtags and making a significant impact on and off social media.
