A not‑for‑profit environmental organization, working with agency Media Cause, needed an affordable way to turn awareness into action without large advertising budgets. The challenge was reaching and mobilizing a mass audience while keeping up with high volumes of conversations and real‑time engagement across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Media Cause implemented Sprout Social for social monitoring, tasking, collaboration and reporting—using keywords, filters and analytics to manage replies and leverage influencer attention. Over the year from August 2016 to August 2017 the strategy grew the audience to 1,283,350 followers and delivered a 52% increase in Facebook fans, an 89% increase in Twitter link clicks and a 117% increase in Instagram followers, boosting reach and potential donor impact.
