Plaid, a San Francisco–based fintech that connects financial accounts to apps and services, faced a communications challenge: helping diverse audiences—financial institutions, developers and consumers—understand how Plaid’s technology works, the broader use cases it enables, and how it protects data. With a small social team, Plaid needed a way to educate and engage these groups efficiently across social channels, particularly LinkedIn.
Using Sprout Social’s publishing, listening, tagging, response management and reporting tools, Plaid streamlined community management and content measurement. Over the course of a year Plaid grew its LinkedIn audience by 60% (from about 70,000 to more than 131,000 followers as of May 2023), saved at least 20 hours per month for its social lead, and sped up training so new users can be comfortable in about 30 minutes.
