Sprinklr Helps the Census Bureau Create a Strong Social and Engagement Strategy

The U.S. Census Bureau, responsible for the once-a-decade population count that determines representation and federal funding, faced low public awareness and widespread misconceptions about how census data are used and protected. With official mailings triggering an expected spike in inbound questions and online chatter, the Bureau needed a way to educate the public, counter misinformation, and handle high volumes of engagement across multiple platforms and languages.

Partnering with Sprinklr, the Bureau implemented a cross-platform social strategy including social customer care, listening, publishing, reporting, social advertising, AI-driven Smart Alerts for misinformation, a centralized multilingual asset manager, and chatbots (Facebook Messenger live; Twitter in development). The approach enabled faster, coordinated responses, more efficient handling of large inquiry volumes, improved monitoring and mitigation of disinformation, and better alignment of messaging and ad spend across agencies.
