Serco NZ needed comprehensive facilities support for the Auckland South Corrections Facility in New Zealand, including asset maintenance, facility management, and security and electronic solutions across a long-term public-private partnership. Spotless Group provided the services through a facility management subcontract, helping Serco manage both soft and hard FM requirements in a complex prison environment.

Spotless Group delivered an integrated solution using a mix of 13 on-site staff, subcontractors, and a security partner to provide facilities and prison services under a 25-year contract. The team continuously improved utility consumption by monitoring the building management system and introducing measures such as LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, and rescheduling, while also supporting workplace health and safety and security through training, risk management, and technology improvements.
