Spok’s Smart Speech Morale Call integrated with the base’s existing directory to let soldiers connect by speaking the destination number; it was installed in two days and handled more than 55,000 calls in the first six weeks. The system automated call timing and disconnection, eliminated the need for up to four additional operators, and delivered strong user adoption with only one complaint reported.
