Groupon Engages Customers with Relevant Offers in Conversational Display Ads

Groupon, a global e‑commerce marketplace connecting subscribers with local merchants, needed an easier way for users to find the best gift experiences from its wide range of offerings. To address this, Groupon partnered with Spectrm and used AdLingo Ads — combined with dynamic content feeds and conversation analytics — to deliver conversational display units that guide users based on location and self‑selected preferences.

Spectrm implemented an AdLingo conversational commerce "gift finder" campaign in London and Los Angeles, letting users discover personalized local offers in real time inside the ad unit. The campaign drove over 200,000 brand interactions, achieved a 1m 27s average engaged conversation time, 14% CTR from conversation to landing page, a +20% ad recall lift in London (+24% in LA), and delivered a lower cost per conversation than other conversational channels while producing deeper engagement at scale.
