Lack of End-to-end Transparency in the Delivery Process

Platform X, a Bonn-based service provider for digital publishers, needed better end-to-end transparency in its print fulfillment delivery process. As shipments passed through its logistics network, the company lacked clear insight into the performance of delivery partners and wanted to measure delivery quality at key process steps to ensure reliable, on-time transit for time-sensitive campaigns. Spectos GmbH provided the live tracking measurement setup used for the project.

Spectos GmbH implemented a real-time tracking measurement system with live trackers, using its Spectos Panel and in-house lettershop to prepare and monitor test shipments. The solution delivered detailed performance reports on handover points, transit times to the logistics center, and distribution by zip code, helping Platform X identify delays, fix process issues, and verify improvements in follow-up measurements. The tracker studies became an annual quality-management tool for Platform X to continuously monitor and improve service quality.
