Humberside Police Force faced a challenge with effectively tracking officers due to an underutilization of radio device data. Real-time updates on officer availability were unreliable, and a lack of visual representation on mapping systems made it difficult to coordinate resources, posing a safety risk and delaying critical response times. Sopra Steria was engaged to help address these issues.

Sopra Steria implemented key configuration changes to its STORM Command and Control Solution to ensure all radios were correctly affiliated and displayed in the Map Viewer. This provided the force with real-time location data. As a result, Humberside Police significantly increased their Grade 1 attendance times from 42.5% to 97%, enhancing officer safety, operational awareness, and resource deployment efficiency.
