Case Study: Dell achieves scalable, secure remote access and greater workforce flexibility with SonicWALL

A SonicWall Case Study

Preview of the Dell Case Study

Providing employees with the flexibility they want

Dell needed a reliable, scalable remote-access solution to support its Connected Workplace initiative and enable employees to be productive from virtually anywhere. After acquiring SonicWall, Dell evaluated and selected SonicWall’s Aventail E-Class Secure Remote Access (E-Class SRA) platform to replace an unstable VPN that was causing frequent connection failures and poor end-user experience.

Dell and SonicWall collaborated to enhance the E-Class SRA features for large-enterprise scale and manageability, then deployed 23 E-Class SRA appliances globally (10 EX9000, 11 EX7000, 2 EX6000). The SonicWall solution now supports Dell’s ~107,000 employees (capacity for 255,000 users), delivered dramatically better user feedback and fewer IT support incidents, enabled faster onboarding of acquired companies, and helped Dell increase remote work flexibility and reduce facilities costs.
