Winegrowers of Dry Creek Valley®, the promotional organization for Sonoma’s Dry Creek Valley wine region, needed to raise the profile and drive ticket sales for its annual Passport to Dry Creek Valley event. Having partnered with Sojern since 2016, the team sought a full-funnel, multi-channel campaign to reach travelers and interested local audiences for the 2018 weekend of winery tastings and chef-paired events.
Sojern deployed display, video and native ads using real-time travel intent and audience signals—targeting travelers to the Bay Area, Napa and Healdsburg plus wine buffs, foodies and higher-income households—resulting in 183 ticket transactions. The campaign delivered strong engagement: a 55% YouTube view-through rate (more than double the travel benchmark) and a 0.13% CTR on native ads, attracting high-quality, engaged attendees.
