Think Iowa City, working with agency Strategic America, wanted to raise awareness and inspire more visits to the city because it often isn’t top-of-mind compared with nearby metros like Des Moines, Chicago and Kansas City. Their challenge was to cut through the competition and position Iowa City as a compelling travel destination.

They partnered with Sojern on a multi-channel digital campaign using video, native and display ads to reach targeted travel audiences across the funnel. The campaign drove strong measurable outcomes: 1,463 flight confirmations, 509 hotel bookings, an estimated $500K in traveler spend, about 19,191 visits to Iowa City–targeted webpages, and a 0.99% CTR on native ads.
