A Sojern Case Study
The Wink is a D.C. lifestyle hotel that launched as a new independent property in January and needed to quickly raise its profile and generate direct bookings without the marketing budget of a major chain. In February 2018 the hotel partnered with Sojern to address that challenge and drive revenue during its critical ramp-up period.
Sojern ran multi-channel digital campaigns—primarily display, and later Facebook and Instagram—on a pay-on-completed-stay commission model so The Wink only paid for delivered bookings. The program generated $87,507 and 351 stays from display in six months, plus roughly $2K from Facebook and Instagram in one month—more than $89K in direct booking revenue—helping accelerate the hotel’s early success.
