Best Western Premier Freeport Inn & Suites, a Calgary property near the airport, partnered with Sojern in June 2017 to increase direct bookings without upfront costs. The hotel faced the common independent-hotel challenge of covering pricey marketing solutions and measuring true ROI from third-party channels.
Sojern used targeted display ads to reach travelers searching for or booking travel to Calgary and retargeted them to drive direct site bookings via a commission-based, pay-on-completed-stay model. In 21 months the program generated CAD $85,410 in incremental direct booking revenue (416 bookings), more than CAD $18K in future stays, improved ROI transparency, and required no advance expenditure.
