Lungarno Collection is a portfolio of four- and five-star boutique hotels and villas in Rome and Florence that reflect Florentine style and hospitality. Facing a hospitality market in Italy that was still adopting digital marketing—and with the limited budgets typical of independent chains—their challenge was to demonstrate how online advertising could drive measurable direct booking revenue.

Partnering with Sojern (display ads from November 2017, expanded to Facebook and Instagram in May 2018), Lungarno used a full‑funnel, performance‑based strategy with no upfront cost. In 12 months Sojern delivered 499 direct bookings worth €881,276 (including €130,991 from Facebook and Instagram in five months), and Lungarno only pays commission on bookings generated—proving a scalable way to grow direct revenue.
