Slovenia Tourism (the Slovenian Tourist Board) partnered with Sojern to promote Slovenia as a gastronomic and wellness destination in the DACH region. The board’s challenge was proving the impact of its marketing spend—unlike airlines or hotels, tourism boards can’t directly track bookings to ads—so they needed a way to show increased interest from travellers who hadn’t previously considered Slovenia.
Sojern ran a two-month multi-channel campaign using Display and Video to reach audiences researching competitor destinations. The effort drove 2,628 visits to the Slovenia Tourism website (95% new users) and delivered a 54% year‑over‑year increase in searches to Slovenia from new travellers, proving measurable incremental interest and enabling calculation of acquisition cost.
