Meliá Hotels International, a Spanish hotel group with more than 350 properties in 40 countries serving luxury and family travelers, wanted to reach U.S. travelers planning trips to the Caribbean, Mexico and LATAM while achieving an 8:1 ROI. The challenge was to identify and convert high-intent travelers across a wide set of destinations and property types.
Sojern used real-time travel intent data combined with prospecting and retargeting to target U.S. travelers headed south of the border, optimizing campaigns month over month and favoring shorter recency windows. The four-month effort generated more than $1.5M in revenue, 1,084+ bookings at Meliá LATAM properties and an overall ROI of 13:1, surpassing the campaign goal.
